Lee grew up in South Australia, and began his career like most young guy’s wanting a start, by cleaning and sweeping the floor at the Power Plug factory. At age 17 he moved to the Gold Coast and began door knocking for a gig. He got a start at Nev Hyman’s factory and was taken under the wing by the factory manager. It was here where he learnt to hand shape and glass boards under the watchful eye of the older guy’s. Lee learnt quickly, and was only 21 when he shaped his first board under his own label. Not long after that, he re-located to Sydney’s Northern Beaches and started out on his own. In the years since he’s earned a reputation as one of the most progressive and technical young shapers in the game, crafting boards for Kolohe Andino, Dusty Payne, the Hobgood’s and many others.
